The Arms of Chivalry-Now: The founders of the International Fellowship of Chivalry-Now chose Argent to signify truth, sincerity, peace, innocence and purity, while Gules signifies magnanimity, military strength, warrior and martyrdom. The three escallops were chosen to signify pilgrimage, or in this case a Quest, and are taken from the personal armorial bearings of the founder.
In the Crest, the phoenix symbolizes 'the rebirth of Chivalry' and the Motto, Areté, was adopted to summarize Excellence, the Greatest Good, or Highest Virtue.
