Design Rationale:
Snyder comes from Schneider, a cutter or a reaper and often a tailor. The cutting is represented by the saltire raguly, cut down and lopped and by the crest fox holding the broad ax. The colors, red, white and black are from the flag of the German Second Empire, 1871-1918.
