Crest:  An owl close guardant Brunatre talons Or, collared with a chain pendent therefrom a heart Or and graphing in the dexter talon a sprig of bluebonnet slipped and leaved Proper.

Design Rationale:

The owl on the crest represents the armigers profession as a professor and the armigers characteristic of wisdom. The heart on the cain pendent represents the armigers cadency as the first daughter. The bluebonnet in the dexter talon of the owl represents the armigers daughter and her residence in Texas. The shield shows a dolphin which represents the armigers Puerto Rican heritage and her place of birth in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and the armigers characteristic of Honor. The three escallops on the shield represents the armigers family and the armigers characteristic of compassion.
