Design Rationale:

The arms are that of the armiger's father and maternal grandfather quartered. Both designs drawing on the family histories and armigers' lives, now carried on by the respective armigers' son/grandson. The first and fourth quarters are of the MacDonald line, and the second and third of the Roberts. The MacDonald crest is used as the primary crest of the armiger, who on some occasions displays the his maternal grandfather's crest. The arms of Roberts of Abarone, Michigan USA, were codified in 2017, and registered as: Per fess Vert and Azure on a fess wavy Argent a bar wavy of the Second between three hounds heads erased of the Third; to mark the families history since immigration in the late 19th century and the building of the family estate.
